A week before the UK General Election, we urge you to gather at the 100 Club with all those who seek to KICK OUT THE TORIES ... a pre-election pep rally. Come and shake your pom-poms with:
UK General Elections
From the disastrous 2015 election - where the Conservative Party won an outright majority, defying expectations, Labour failed to mobilise support due to its timidity and the taint of Blairism and was wiped out by nationalists in Scotland, the anti-immigration UKIP boosted its vote although won only one seat, and a fair few "left" votes went to the Green Party, which also won a single seat - through the 2017 and 2019 elections, with more to come!
At Passing Clouds, 1 Richmond Rd, Dalston, E8 4AA
Janine hosts a 90-minute extravaganza of ranting lefty poetry as part of this anti-UKIP bash, before Captain SKA takes to the stage, launching their election special anti-UKIp .
Sign up for open mic on the night from 7.30pm, poetry from 8 til 9.30pm.
Janine will be the feature poet at May's Technically Speaking, with a general election night theme of Mostly Hating Tories! It takes plance in the lovely, comfortable lounge at the Leyton Technical, 265B Leyton High Road.
Tickets: £2 in advance, £3 on the door: advance tickets are available behind the bar.
