**An online meeting for Tube and rail workers to discuss how to defend our jobs.**
Thousands of job cuts are being announced across the economy, including in the rail and transport industries.
An online discussion on experiences from the resistance against the partial privatisation of the London Tube with:
- Janine Booth (author “Plundering London Underground: New Labour, Private Capital and Public Service”)
- Phil Rowan (RMT Finsbury Park International officer)
The event takes place at 19:00 Berlin time, 18:00 UK time.
Janine will be speaking from a transport worker's perspective at this online event hosted by Another Europe Is Possible.
In 2008, the state bailed out the banks. In 2020, it is bailing out the whole of capitalism. State intervention and public borrowing are at their highest level in peacetime history.
Throughout this week, Janine and other RMT activists will be visiting workplaces and carrying out other activities to make London's disabled transport workers more aware of their rights - and of the importance of getting involved in the union to enforce those rights.
For more details, email Janine.
Venue: The Cock Tavern, 23 Phoenix Road, London NW1 1HB
Newly-elected RMT National President Michelle Rodgers invites you to join her at the Cock Tavern to raise money for our striking guards and to say thank you for all the support you have given her.

Janine will be taking part in a panel discussing violence against women, focusing on sexual harassment at work and on public transport. She will then be facilitating a workshop.
