Stuff about the city where I live!
Taken to stormy extreme
Hailing in Hackney
Shot by ice bullets
They shoot indignant indoors
All hail to the cats
Brown replaces green
Letterboxes rustle as
Leaflets fall from trees
Organised and believed in
A row of shops on Mare Street
Most either estate agents or opticians
If house hunters can't find what they're looking for
Help is at hand
Bank to Waterloo
They're swimming against the tide
I know how they feel
Waterloo to Bank
Head-to-head with the mainstream
It is quite draining
Janine will speak as part of a deputation to Hackeny's Health and Wellbeing board, explaining the need for better services (or any services!) for autistic adults in Hackney, and the importance of genuine democratic input from autistic people.
Janine will be giving a presentation about Minnie Lansbury at the Tower Hamlets Local History Library and Archives (277 Bancroft Road, London E1 4DQ) as part of Women’s History Month.
Also speaking (provisionally) will be Sarah Jackson about the East London Suffragettes.
