Again they shook donation tins
to keep aquatics at the school,
to keep the children safe to swim
But then the Council waded in,
imposed a board which then - so cruel -
destroyed the pool and filled in it
So folks kicked up a mighty din -
What kind of money-hungry fool
makes savings stopping children swim?
The board said sorry for its spin
but still insists its act was cool -
that they were right to fill it in
Rocks and boulders to the brim
the buried debris of misrule
